End of the Year Quarterly Meeting

Please join us Tuesday, November 12th from 11:00 to 1:00 for our end-of-the-year NorCal VOAD meeting. This meeting will be held at Cal OES in Sacramento. You will have the chance to meet the Cal OES staff and a few Division Chiefs.

Tours of the Emergency Operation Center will be available right after our meeting.

Cal OES and our VOAD is looking forward to this face-to-face meeting. Cal OES has been an amazing partner through the years, let’s show up and show our appreciation. We will be sending our agenda out the week before.

Zoom will be available for those who cannot join us in person.

NorCal VOAD Disaster Response Conference & Training - Session III

We invite you to an exciting one-day in-person conference and training hosted by Northern California VOAD. This event will focus on disaster response and recovery best practices and offer valuable opportunities for training, discussion, and networking. The event will be held in three different locations throughout Northern California during the first week of November. Please see the event details and registration below.

Session III Registration

Event Details:

Date: November 8, 2024

Time: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Registration Opens 9:30 am)

Location: Northern Valley Catholic Social Services, Redding

Meals: Coffee, drinks, snacks, lunch and networking dinner provided 

Agenda: Recovery with a panel of speakers discussing long-term Recovery, disaster case management, spiritual and emotional care, and the rebuilding process.

Why Attend:

  • Collaboration: Build a strong disaster response network

  • Coordination: Learn effective coordination with VOADs, LTRGs, nonprofits, and emergency managers

  • Planning: Develop streamlined disaster response and recovery processes

  • Networking: Connect with neighboring counties and disaster responders

  • Training: Practical training for effective disaster management

Who Should Attend:

  • Voluntary and Community Organizations Active in Disasters (VOADs and COADs)

  • Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRGs)

  • Nonprofit Organizations

  • Emergency Managers and Community Resilience Officers

Ticket Limitations: Please limit the number of attendees to 3 people per organization per region.
